Then
When our beloved Twinkle died unexpectedly in 2012, I began to read into photography more seriously.
Soon it turned out that I enjoyed taking animal portraits – the Character Captures project was born; to provide quality portraits of pets in particular, but really, animals in general.
I offered my services to some local shelters to see if their rescues would more easily find a home with good portraits. Soidog foundation (yay to their work, by the way!) started posting better pictures soon after I called them about it – apparently they had a photographer on staff – so they are sorted.
A few years in and a few friends’ animals have passed. My pictures have grown and so has my motivation to make this work.
The crystallisation core for more Animal Imaging was finding the amazingly alive Olivia. – But that is another story and it shall be told another time.
Update: See the link below for Olivia’s story!
Now
Now, the Character Captures Project is back as a donation-based animal Portrait service to help us support Olivia’s medication. Please take a look at Olivia’s story here.
If you have an animal that you love, give me a shout and I will make you a picture. Feel free to also follow the Character Captures Facebook Page.
